Thinking of trading a like new jonsered 2159 guy I got it from said he only used it twice and I believe it, not even a scratch on the bar. It's July 07 manufactured and is like new 18 3/8 .058. Saw is a beauty. Also have ms260. Don't know much of the history with this saw but it has aftermarket rebuild kit piston cylinder am clutch cover am handle fuel tank am muffler etc.. there's an issue with the choke/kill switch looks like it's not making correct contact and feels like there's not enough resistance on it. Maybe a simple fix? To start saw you have to hold trigger down to start while you pull and to shut off saw you have to apply choke. Saw feels like it has good power and acceleration it oils well while running chain brake and all works has Oregon drum that feels good. Has 18 .325 b/c. Really wanting to try a ms361 that's in excellent condition.

Yes really just the 361 as I always wanted one but never actually got to try one. If I cant find a trade I may just send it off to get ported. Ive never ran a 2159/359 either just come across this mint one recently but you guys on here seem to like them so it may be worth keeping. Saws I normally use are 365xt, 261cm,550xp. Thanks

Run a 361 if you can, before you trade. Good saw, but I prefer the 359/2159.
When ported the 59 is a beast!!!

Thanks cracker I've been talking to him and driller
I got one here fully ported. But it ain't going anywhere anytime soon..lol. I've ram both 2159 and 361 ported and they are both great saws. Both have pretty much same cylinder design with quad ports. Just comes down to which brand you like the most. [emoji12]

Thanks for the shout out Brian.
I would have been happy to do some trading, but the last 361 I had went out 2 weeks ago, but I do have a pretty decent 360 pro, my personal pine/spruce bucking saw :).
Hope your feeling better.

I have really wanted to try a 361. I think it was in my sig for a while, may still be there. It's about the only saw left on my list of saws from days gone by that I haven't got to run. I sourced one across the pond, it is a nos saw. With shipping it was gonna cost me right at a $1000.00. When I asked my mentor what I should do, he told me to buy a 562xp. That's coming from a Stihlhead. So I passed on the 361.

Thanks mncutter. There's been a lot of interest in it. But no regular 361 had a 361c offer. If a standard 361 doesn't show up it will be off to driller to get some drillin' lol
