These Next Few Weeks...

I've mulled this around quite a lot....and finally decided I should tell y'all what's going on. After all, you all are my friends, and many of you guys are like family to me.

I'm probably not going to be around much for a little while. I'll be travelling back and forth to the NC coast a lot over the next few weeks.

My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few days ago. I've seen this in action before, so I know that at her age, she's not going to be around too long. I'll be leaving this weekend to see her, and I'm not sure exactly when I'll be back.

My mom has always been tough as nails....never complaining. True to form, she kept this to herself as long as she could. After four days of nausea, and diarrhea, she finally told someone she needed to see a doctor. It only took a few hours for them to find the cancer.

There are five of us boys, we have no sisters, but there will be no disagreement between us about anything. Mom has made all her desires known, and when it comes to her final arrangements, her will shall be done to the letter.

At any rate, I felt the need to share this with all of you. You have all done so much to help me, and each other. I'm very proud to be a part of this community.

Im sorry to hear this Randy. Damn it man. Same *s-word took my grandpa 2 months after he retired. Stay positive and just be there for her. Big man has his plan and it always involves the good ones. Prayers, JUST GONNA SEND UM, and safe travels.

I know how it is, anyone willing to help, not really much any of us can do.
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in August. Lots of brain tumors to go with it. It’s a lot of time in the hospital but he has been fighting and doin well. You’d be surprised how well some of the new medicine works Randy. And not all of it comes from the hospital.
