July 29th went and took out a coyote I had called in on my place. things have been quiet since.
But that has ended.
Wednesday had a afternoon doctors appointment, left home at 1:00 PM. About a mile down the road a coyote ran across the road in front of us. It was in a hurry and big hurry but I got a quick look at the fur. It had a lot of black patches an d a darker brown than normal. Kare said that it looked mangy, but I think the coloring made it look like that.
Last evening walking the dogs about 8:30 a pack cut loose north east of our place but close enough We are going to see if we can call them in tonight.
I had just about made it back to the house and another pack cut loose across the road a lot closer. If I had to guess by the sound couldn't have been muck more than 200 yards out. there is a big wet land area about that far across the road too.
Both Eric and Dean are going to come and see if we can call any from both packs this evening.
