I’d say almost exactly the same age looking at the top plate with the electronic label. I mill lumber with it all the time. The 075 and an 090 are my main milling saws looking for an 051 and an 050 to fill in my collection.

What’s the going price on an 084 that’s been sitting? With 28” stihl bar/chain?

Are parts available if needed?

Does putting a 046 D chamber jug on a MS460 provide any advantage over a hemisphere chamber jug for a stock saw?

Considering how rough that thing is, I'd offer what the bar and chain is worth and go from there. Probably has lots of little stuff needing attention and maybe some big stuff. Parts can be had, but reviving one of those can get expensive fast.

The bid is already up to $350 with $77 postage, YIKES!!!

Keep in mind parts for an 084 are like a kings ransom and that one needs many .

My 660 started leaking fuel somewhere. The tank line looks like a noodle, it's time. Three years on pump gas. The original silicone sealer is mush. E fuel. My question is what are you using now, maybe an update these days to reseal the carb box to the tank?

I don't re-seal it if it was sealed. Always a sloppy mess that looks like someone did it drunk in the dark anyway. Clean all the old crap off and put it back together. Have also worked on several that were never sealed. Guess I just don't see the point in the first place.

Not sure how many people have used an MS241C but that little saw is sweet. It is overpriced but worth it to me. I know alot of people just turn away from it due to the price as I did also until I used one. It will suprise you. It's like a calf with nuts like a bull.

Anyone have any comments on the 029 Super? I found one that needs some TLC and I thought it might be a good project saw to explore Stihl saws

Farm and ranch clam shell series saw, little on the heavy side but seem to hold up fairly well from what I’ve seen. I know lots of people that put up 10-20 chords a year with one they’ve had for 15-20 years or longer.
