Tree man here from Warner robins Ga and I have an older 056 super electronic and it needs a cylinder/piston kit. I've looked on eBay and Amazon but it seems as though stihl stopped making them. I was wondering if I could use a cylinder off of another model

I think your best bet is to keep checking Ebay, or something similar to it. I don't know of any other model that has a similar cylinder. I'm not sure, but the 066 has the same bore size, the pistons may work, verify you have a 54mm bore. The cylinder base bolt pattern is larger on the 056 than the 066 if I remember correctly, so the cylinder is out for that saw.

If you cannot find what you need, I would order a 066 piston and compare the two, if it works send your cylinder to Millennium or U.S. Chrome for repair and re-chroming.

Husky 288 also has a 54mm bore.

As long as you have the whole set an 045, 045 super, 056 and 056 super will all fit I think. I think the magnum 1 and 2 056’s have a diffent pattern to bolt jug down but I might be wrong on that. But the 045 and 056 are the same family of saws

Also post pictures of jug, might only have aluminum transfer and could be cleaned up and new piston installed. Along with the new crankseals or whatever leaked air to cause it to blow up in the first place.
