Sweet! Got one just like it. Also have a blue Makita EA4300 w/ easy start. Did MM on both. You will really like it cuts bigger than it is. MM really wakes it up.

O yeah it’s a little beast for sure. MM was done maybe 6 months ago. I don’t remember doing a base gasket delete on this one and it’s not written down either. I seem to remember it was maybe too close to do one idk. I need to check that out

I see it has a "2.2 kw" sticker which I think is only on the Euro market saws. Are the labels on it in English? Does it have the usual EPA sticker on it?

It had the cat in the Muffler when I did MM witch was removed during that. I believe it’s in English but I’ll try and look tomorrow to be sure

I think all of that generation have cat mufflers, Euro and USA.

Can someone give me some information on a Dolmar/Makita DCS510 50cc saw please? I am looking at one on CL. It is a blue Makita 510.
And what is a good used price on one? Were they any good? Are they still being made?

Decent saw 50cc, 45mm open port cyl., everything else is same as 5100. Basically a detuned 5100 w/alum crankcase. Yes still being made as far as I know.

Yes, IMO magnesium crankcase. I do have a 510 was planning on putting a 5100 cyl. on it. If price is right I would buy a 510. Although there was a guy that built a bbbbaaaaad 510 w/5100 cyl. Never heard of it blowing up.

What's a good used price for a clean 510?

IDK my price would 125-150.00. Used 5100's I've seen sell on Ebay for 225.00 or so. For that money I'll buy a 359 Husky. Bought several running 359's for 200-225 w/b&c, del. Most I have in one is 250.00. I do have 5-5100's and a blue 5000 tho.
