I have the 590 tool and it works on all my Echo, have to take the time to see if it will work on 64/79 Dolkita. I’m like you, that Dolkita tool is pricey.

Yeah its crazy. I just looked up some part pics and I think its definitely worth a shot.
Be interested to see any pictures you have of the clutch tools that you have found work on the 6400 /7900/7910 .
This is the tool that shows as correct....

You have no idea and no one will tell You the truth! ;)

Ask Sondre @SOS Ridgerider what he thinks of his Makita EA7301 , granted stuffed with sausages by Kevin @huskihl

I think Mason @huskyboy ran Sondre's 7301.

Sondre's Makita EA7301
It’s a strong saw and it has heated handles to boot!

Hi,

there is a new inmate in my barn:

ankunft_l.jpg ankunft_r.jpg ankunft_v.jpg kupplung_bremse.jpg polrad.jpg

an extremely well preserved SACHS-DOLMAR 143. Found it in classified ads in about 25 km off where I live.
A few parts are missing though, but the saw's substance is extraordinary.
Note that all pictures were taken before any cleaning did take place!

Are you saving chips?
Or is that tarp out for easy clean up?
Both, easier to clean up and my parents use the chips for animal bedding, chicken and rabbits.

My mom also uses noodles for plant bedding in her garden and flower beds.
The wood chips have proven excellent defense against brown slugs that have become an infestation here in Croatia.

Whatever hassle it is to spread the tarp out is mediated by the benefits of a clean lawn and the usefulness of the collected wood chips.

Those were 3x 20 liter buckets full of clean wood chips in the above picture, it sums up quickly, currently I have three jumbo bags full (at least 0.5 cubic meter volume each).

One of my acquaintances collects all the scrap that is left over after the firewood logs are bucked and split and he burns it in his furnace.
A coworker of mine goes to the trouble and repurposes all his wood chips by pressing brickets and burning them in his fireplace.
Both burn their wood chips mixed with regular firewood, they use the chips to choke the fire.
