That WJ has the high idle activated from the choke rod so could be a workable sub over for a saw that has no trigger lock button on the back handle...good find. :)

It's choke lever operated and would void the trigger lock on the older versions.

I'm pretty sure it was a 9000. All identifying tags were removed and it was a derelict of a saw. It's going through full restoration here soon.

I've already done a powder coat test on the recoil and am pretty satisfied with the color. I ordered a new coil/flywheel (9010) and some other goodies for it.

I was eyeballing a Walbro Wj-115 from a 395 to go in mine also when it's rebuilt. There are some differences but the basics are there for good fit.

Impulse and fuel lines are workable, the choke lever would be easy enough to re-position and the Idle and jets screws appear to line up.

The venturis are identical measurements 20(outlet) and 22mm (intake).

Here is my derelict 9000/9010 when I got it.

I wonder if a 394 wj39 (kind of rare and only found on the early saws), could be made to fit. It’s larger than a 395 carb.

I came across a for sale ad with the title "Dolmar branded made by Makita Gas Chain Saw" and all I could think of was "yeah, right". o_O

It's opposite day, Wilhelm. Lol.

BTW: I got my order submitted without a problem. Great guys to work with there. Thanks again for the info. :):ARMS1::headbang:

Just bought a Makita dcs6421, red and black tops. The L screw takes a screwdriver, having a tough time seeing the H screw. Does anyone know what it is, a double D? Have to find my carb tools. Thanks.

My 6100 takes regular slotted screwdriver for both L and H.

Not this puppy, have to figure out where I “safely stored” my carb tools and try each one. I have pac man, double d and splined, hope it’s one of them.
