Looks good and runs to boot.
Got the S25DA almost back together. New oiler pump diaphragm bought from a member. Thanks again.
New "improvised" gas cap vent, filed and set points, new carb kit and cleaning. Oil pick up tube assembly from the donor saw. Cut new reed plate gasket and carb spacer/base gaskets. Should be ready to light off. I'll try it tomorrow. Cleaned up tje bar and putting a coat of paint on tonight. 0408192116_HDR.jpg

Here you go Steve. Piece of ink pen ink tube, small drill bit to ream the hole out so the ink pen tube pushes through tight, and part #530026119 duckbill valve. 0408192133a.jpg 0408192133.jpg

Oh, did I mention this saw came with a brand SPANKIN new Stihl low kickback chain? Dont think its ever touched wood. Look at the paint on the master link plate. I gave $15 for the saw. Chain costs that much. 14" bar.0408192132.jpg

Sooo, does anyone have a service manual or IPL for a 3400? I have one thats burning some bar oil. I need to sort that out. Getting an idea of how it works and where its at might save me some time doing " exploratory surgery". It oils like crazy as well. Could sling Oil off a 36" bar!

Don't forget there is a direct impulse hole to the crankcase under the oil pump. It might be worth checking the gasket under the pump before you split the case.
If you do have to split it, it will be the easiest one you ever do.

That's good news Tim.
Got a neat little plastic cased Homie XL to sort a few things out on, then I should be ready to tackle the 3400.

Got the S25DA fired off this afternoon. Popped on about the 4th pull with no prime. Running the next tug. Very little tuning needed. Revs good. Idles nice.

Yup, I have an 85 & 91 which came after, they did skip around a bit also. The even numbers are gear drive. 83 84 85 86 91 92 etc. 65 66 super 66, 67 68 super , 71 71A & 72 etc
