I always buy them off eBay, got a package of 10 last year. Not too expensive.

I got a saw just like this one that has rotten oil line. I see ther is a pump thing under clutch cover held in with 2 screws. I cpuld nottell where the line went butfrom what i can see, i think it goes from the pump nipple and just loops around to the oil hole? Just pull little line through oil hole and cut flush?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Yes that's right. The two screw cover holds the foam oil filter. The pump itself is one that works off crankcase pulse.

You will see a bolt head just behind the clutch, front side. That contains a standard Poulan check valve which allows the oil tank to pressurize. There is also a small hole behind the oil discharge port to the bar. That should have a piece of wire in it. It provides a small air leak in the oil tank so it doesn't over oil and so pressure will bleed down when the saw is shut off.

If the saw doesn't oil when you get the new line in place, look to that check valve, They are getting scarce to buy but are easy to repair.

The project 445 70.7cc I used to test the 3 styles of worm gears in worked. Metal and Plastic worm gears from the early and later series.
Being that is over I made the 445 up my way today. Put the original style plastic worm gear in it and installed the other full wrap I bought. Put on a 24" 3/8 84dl oem bar that came on my first 415. Me like after test cutting. If you notice it dont have on the west coast big dawgs that are needed for a full wrap. The 415 fire dept saw had full wrap and smooth inner dawg for its uses. So I wanted this one set up like that.

I've got a craftsman 2.3av just like yours. She stays in the original case most of the time.

I haven't taken it out of the case too much yet. It was given to me recently because it wouldn't start. New fuel lines and air filter and its a nice little runner. We will see if it can upend my little homelite as my brush/limbing saw.

Someone wanting to buy this last 445 I put the full wrap on above. But they want it with half wrap like this.
I sell any saw, but afraid to price it to him. Last saw I priced to him he bought it. =415

I just priced it to a guy PHO set up like this. I figure I cant keep them all. I have 2 runners and this is nicest one with nicest 445 recoil and clutch covers. Have 4 445 cylinders so I could build 2 more still.

:( hopefully he tells me to get bent. But is a very fair price IMO :p;)

Get you some hearing protection, those little Poulans have a lot of bark for their size.

Yep dad made me put the baffle back in for him. Still was loud for him.

But I understand now as I got older. I pulled the modded muffler on my 505 and put a stock back on.
