Mini Mac 110 has intermittent spark. I thought electronic modules always went completely though so I’m going to look at the kids switch.

I think when I’m cutting I’d be way to impatient to have a 24-28” on a 60cc class saw.

Why not add a couple more pounds to the beast just because?

And the operative phrase above was supposed to be 'just lay em on the ground'. LOL

I always ran a 20" on mine .My dad ran a 16".He could out cut me because first he had tinkered with his plus the shorter bar .However it used more gas and he had to file more often .It came out about even at the end of the day .I have both of them in my shed plus one I bought for my son which is pristine

Mac15 will rattle your bones and numb your fingers.

DSP (#28) on the 850 comes out with a 7/16" deep socket. there is an 8-32 SHCS below the DSP valve (#30) that should be removed then use a drill bit in your fingers to clean out the passageways.

I don't know of any good way to disassemble the DSP valve itself but I have had some success cleaning then and polishing the seats with some valve lapping compound or toothpaste.

Mark

Thank You.

My Mcculloch 7-10 came in today, it looks good and has good compression. I need a clutch cover and a lower rear handle.

I might have a lower handle piece for that if you are still in need

I need one please, I may have a clutch cover but I am still looking because I would have to take a short cover off a fixable saw. I think a short chain brake cover would fit it nicely.

I’ll check to see what I have for clutch covers as well.

The clutch cover from any 10 Series will work. The original on the 7-10 would have some extra clearance at the bottom that allows you to fit a full wrap bar if you find one. This photo is Pete's saw (rocketnorton).

The later style covers including the long ones will all fit as well.

Can anyone tell me the part number for the duckbill valve in the fuel cap on a 125?

T. Roller, if you have a junk pile like me, you might already have a duck bill that will retro-fit. Some primer bulbs have duck bills on the back side, like on many weedeaters. Newer plastic saws often have a duck bill as the tank vent. A NOS mac duck bill is probably getting a little stale.

That vent is common to all the large Macs with the same style cap. Not sure one of the smaller 'go to' duckbills like the Homelite, Poulan, Stens, will be large enough to retro fit into that cap. May be easier to just source a whole cap and go from there, though a little creativity may also do the trick.
