I'll forgive you for no bow. A neighbor has the Mac 15, but I really don't have a need especially for the money.

I wouldn't pay more than $20 for a running Mac 15 - they're essentially just a motor with a handlebar. Kart guys buy them for the crank and connecting rod
though for the 80cc engines, as those parts swap over.

You forgot the recoil and trash screen has some value ! Lol
The 7-10 is over hyped! You can fight Mike for this one! :D @p61 western

looks nice Steve! I need to get one one of these days! I also need to get the 80 and 81 running right , I think they both have minor air leaks....I have plenty of projects for the winter!

You have to remember when saws like a Mac 15 were made ,same era as say a David -Bradley 360 .The old Mac being much lighter and much faster .Most likely cheaper too .They never were designed to be an ace runner .
The value on these things could be all over the place just like any old saw .To me it's a door stop but to others a rare find so it's what ever floats your boat, trips your trigger whatever .

The mac 15 was made the same time as front tank saws like the super 250. Even into the 10 series era. It looks much older than it really is. The 15 was macs low cost firewood line saw.

I'm at a loss because something was different about them from say a 250 as I recall . I've seen a few Mac 15's never worked on or owned one .

I did see that I believe it is a 795L engine, it has the dsp lever, probably just a oil tank swap, clutch drum, air filter and Oiler rod to make a saw

There were 4 or 5 manufacturers that produced a cut off saw from the 795 power head. I have a Target and a Stowe, somewhere I have the documents that note the others as well.

Target also made one from the 7-10 or perhaps PM700 power head. I don't have one yet but I saw this one at Roland's place in Belgium.

I do have a 690 based on the 600 Series saws and a 390 based on the 300 Series saws. The 690 has never had fuel in it, the 390 had only very light uses before I got it.

I think there were many application that used many McCulloch engines for things like post hole augers ,water pumps even a bomb hoist on navy aircraft carriers .I've seen some certainly not all of them .
In my collection of the giant dealers books covering McCulloch ,Homelite and recently Partner it's just amazing the things you never knew even existed .
Of all of them the one that amazes me is a circular saw with a Homelite xl-12 engine .I'll bet that thing was just a real joy to operate -----probably not .Finger pruner .

The bomb hoist used a 70 cc engine, I have a never been fueled power head. The power head was modified by a company named Entwistle.

I picked this up in a auction last year, also never been fueled but it was setting out in a active shop for many years and has quite a layer of grime on it.

McCulloch had quite a few attachments for their saws; I have quite an assortment for the 33/35/39 power heads including an ice/earth auger, brush cutter, spur gear reduction drill, and a direct couple drill.
