Hi All
This fall i picked up a few saws from Southeast Alaska, and there was a Kart engine on a Kart mount with a chrome cover and a sticker that said MC20.
It has a removable head and these numbers on the bottom
66019 then 2085

Also i have been in contact with a guy who claims to have a McCulloch 125
But the only numbers he can find on the bottom are 84071
Can anyone give me some more info on these engines with these numbers?
Thanks Thomas311.JPG

An ad for the MC20 engine attached. MAC doesn't list an IPL for the 20 in a 1972 publications guide.

For what it's worth my CP125 has 69517 stamped on the case bottom. Beyond that there's just the SP 125's and the 105.
Maybe someone can look at those for you.

Found this on an older AS post. I think the CP125"C" should be an S

The block # for the CP125/CP125C is 84071.

The block # for the SP125/SP125C is 91110.

That would explain the removable head
You can also check the bore through the exhaust port, 58mm or 2.280 inches or larger, any smaller and it’s not a 101. It’s pretty easy to get a reading, lots of guys use a popsicle stick and touch the far wall and rotate the motor over slowly and either mark the edge of the piston or let the stick leave a light pinch mark to then measure, or just pop the removable head and check bore and stroke...along with overall condition!

If it's totally intact ,which most of them are not it should have an ID tag on the top portion of the saw under the air filter cover .On the 125 c it should be 60076 with a suffix of A-B or D .Which is not to say it will be there or the tank hasn't been changed . We're talking about a saw first in production since 1976 .One of mine has the tag and one does not .If it's got a removable head it's a good chance it's a kart engine because the 125's didn't have same .FWIW the early 101 had a bridged exhaust port and later 101 was an open exhaust port as were the 125c's .I've never seen a cp 125 or a 797 so I can't say much about them

Just bought a Mini mac 25 for 20 bucks. Needs a recoil pulley for starters. P&C looks great through the exhaust port. Havent checked compression(y know, cause no recoil pulley). Broke the fuel line taking it off. First one of the little ones ive been into. Definitely a different little beastie.
This info might be somewhere on here, but I havent foumd it yet. Does anybody have an IPL and service manual for this they could share?
Also, what parts from what other models interchange? Would be forever grateful for any help and advice.0215191921a_HDR.jpg 0215191921.jpg 0215191921b_HDR.jpg

The CP125 does have a bridge in the exhaust port, Never seen a 797 either.

Picked up this old D44 always wanted one with the recoil on oposite side. Just looks neat.
The bad is its locked up. Not sure the cause. Hope its just from sitting. Be a cool saw to get running again.
