Good Morning Fellars,
I believe it's finally fall here. It's in the 40's this morning a few leaves are starting to fall. We had a heavy
rain yesterday. Hoping the Sun will peak out from the dreary clouds today. May your day be blessed!

Yep...fall is definitely in the air. Temperatures are a bit cooler...yesterday was cloudy and warm though started pouring about 8:00 last night. Quite nice this morning though.
Hope you all have a great morning and a wonderful day.

Morning midlanders, and others. Milling some post & beams today up to eleven feet long. See if I can learn to construct framing without iron fasteners.

If you are just looking to save costs, using angle iron is very strong and cheap. I inlet everything 1" and used 4" angle Iron on the 6.5" Ash Post + Beams for my cabin, worked very well.

I've got that lying about. The challenge over the last 46 years has been to try to learn in spite of the short term memory malfunctioning. Medical discharge tomorrow night at 24:00 hours 1972. The joinery of barns, and a church which have lasted since the middle 1600's in the noreastern area are a challenge. Drawknifing the pegs wood hold the slightly offset holes that draw a tennon tighter as the wood shrinks & loosens the joint. Working out of a few books on how it has been done and how it is done with shorter trees today.

This morning it was around 70 degrees here. So much for me thinking Fall had fallen

I can't get used to 70 degrees on the second day of November :eyepop:
