She's been running with these Angus for about three years now. They sorta got their pecking order figured out......

I'll probably just leave her alone. But that depends more on how she acts in the future than anything else.

Just good to hear more about these things from guys with a lot more experience.

Maybe try a little dehorning paste, just to knock the tips off and dull the ends?

Maybe use that tool that you blunt your sticks with?

Actual pop or from the computer? How low have you went on the vacuum?
It’s hard to really tell. I did the initial check when I first started. Everything looked good spacing included. When I get small kernels is when I have issues. I’ve got 12 bags of smalls laying on the tailgate. 39 pound 80000. I did step the vacuum down to 15 I may try to go lower just a bit I had no experience whatsoever with a vacuum planter. Ran the old ih air then went to finger pickup which I loved. Now this cantankerous thing. I’m doing way better but I haven’t had any small seeds been running in the 52 pound on up to over 60. I think I’m gonna order heavy seed next year. I never cared with the old planter. It would plant rounds flats big small no real difference. You figure lowering the vacuum might be the answer?

I've never ran a kinze but their design is pretty simple. If your seeing doubles with light seed & the singuator brushes are in good shape & at max aggressiveness your only option is to go lower on the vacuum. If its not doubling we're chasing the wrong thing.

I've always preferred large seed. Everything just seems to work better.

She’s throwing some doubles still but not what I’d call bad. I was broke down all morning with computer issues. I’ll take ground drive over this nonsense.

Have you tried medium flats? ( as in b7-24x jd plates )

For size.

What’s the purpose of the mower caddy?

Much easier for old crippled people like me to hook it up to the tractor, I only have to set the jack stand down and pull the pin and unhook one hydraulic hose. Only takes a few seconds, as compared to trying to hook it up to the 3 point hitch every time. Plus I can hook it to any tractor that I want without a problem. It is also much easier for a lower H P tractor to pull it. And I can pull it on the road with my truck Which is a big plus for me!
