I think the metal tank dates it pretty well.

Are you saying it is a 480cd? If so, the sellers date is wrong?
Did they make an XP version?
Are top covers interchangeable on different models?
Are top covers one piece, two piece or either?

I'm not that great at all at Husky, I just looked up the 480 on Mike Acres site. That and I did know that the metal tanks were older than say 1986. Whatever it is it's a good deal at 35 bucks lol.

He said it runs, but is very difficult to start and doesn't idle.
Compression feels very strong.
