I was just being sarcastic. I'd run the hell out of that saw
You gooder bro. I was too. It was a poke at all the echo haterz from back in the day. It does look ghey but who the fook cares. I bet it's a solid saw regardless.

Echo makes a great product. Their marketing and dealer network need some help. Their models 50cc and under are nothing short of awesome. I dont wish failure upon anyone, I hope they succeed in capturing a portion of the mid sized saw market. Friend of mine has a 501p with mild work that is a bad azz lil saw.

Dual felling spikes, screw on caps, manual adjustable carb, roller chain catch... need I go on?

I'm not going to lie I'm looking forward to this saw regardless of the "cheap" looking black recoil cover and sharp plastics.:couch:
The ugly recoil recoil cover will not be a deal breaker for me, it will find a home here with 6 of its orange brothers.

I wonder if to an extent they will offer a watered down version like the timber wolf is to the 620p. Probably not but who knows. I think the main goal is to make a competitive saw and price it low enough that the husky and Stihl guys will give it a try.

If it starts out with in $100 of the CS-680's current price of $619.99 (per Echo.com) I'd think it'd be a hit.
Also per Echo.com a 620 starts at $549.99

I think $599 give or take a little would sell, especially on the 15% off one day sale. A price of $699 would be too close to the husky 365.

Considering it's being built to be a fully professional 73cc unit to directly compete with 572/462, already having a few patents and built in Japan I can't really understand it being cheaper than a de-tuned Husky. Also it seems it will have a very unique feature nowadays - regular carburetor :D

Ummmmmm.....what size blade will it come with? Will I be able to buy it at Home Depot?

Blade size depends on the length of the arm.
At least from what I've read it be a D009 mount so win there.

And probably not since you can't buy 2511t, 355, 501,620,680 or 800 at HD.

I think you can buy most of those online and have them shipped to your Homer Despot store of choice for free. Now wheather you should do that or not is another thing.

I have 3 legit Echo dealer within 15 mins of me let alone the other places that carry them.

You know *s-words getting real when the good (and by good they have parts on hand) Stihl dealer starts selling full line Echo stuffs.

My dealer told me to go 590 over 362. After running a 362 I feel he was right. He always had the full line from 2511 to 800p. Should have grabbed the 800 befor he closed the doors.

I would suggest you are both correct. Looks like the full line of Echo saws are available from Home Depot with free delivery from site to store. I purchased my Timberwolf from a Stihl/Echo dealer in Tucson. That dealer did stock some echo parts. To what extent I'm not sure.
