Here it is! Some of the first pics of the new 70cc Echo pro saw at the world logging championchips, it follows the new color sheme. I have no precise informations or numbers about it, but it is possible that its also feature the new echo EMS system (its like autotune or m-tronic) http://www.echotools.com/news/detail/id=9254?category=1164

This will be a major break through for them. Get them into the logging world. As long as they keep their competitive pricing scheme they probably will get some converts and sell well!. All the loggers I have use 70cc saws usually. Most are topping hardwood, cuttimgbplylogs with a ground man, the occasional jump but if needed. Most obviously run buck saws, but not for hardwood, and many production crews still run a ground man for when loader is loading he cuts logs so they don't slow down as the loader can't process. I forgot poles, have to have a ground man and saw for those, there worth big money can't afford to screw those up and puss pole marker off, especially the 80+ft ones I typically have.

here are the final rankings of the wlc, the saw is listed as CS-73X. It's interesting how much 460's and 576's are still used for this competions.

    Thank you for posting.
So...It looks like Stihl for the win?
When I try to expand those the quality gets grainy and tough to see.

Looks like that weird 45cc saw they come out with. They just need to put a bigger jug on the 620. The stroke is there. Maybe they should get red 97 to engineer them a 70cc saw

I didn’t put too much value on the scoring. Probably has more to do with the operator and individual technique than we’d think.

Cool to see Echo staying in the game at any rate. I hope they did their homework and designed something that hits the mark.

Very glad to see a new Echo and I hope it sells well. You guys know I'm a fanboy but, sorry, that black recoil cover looks ugly and cheap. Seriously looks like it was intended for a Craftsman rebrand.
