Sounds heavy and who drug the generator out there?

The generators were usually mounted on rails, trucks, or carts. My great grandpa and my grandpa worked at a Weyerhaeuser logging camp on the middle fork of the Coquille river in the mid 30's, and there were quite a few electric saws in that camp. Grandpa said that the cables could be up to 2200' long and thicker than your thumb.

Wow!! 26L! That thing must have had some torque. Largest regular truck engine I've seen in on the road trucks is 18L.
M.A.N. Trucks had an 18L V10 600hp stock truck in the late 80's early 90's.
Magirus Deutz had an 18L V10 air cooled Deutz Diesel in the early 80's. That was a beast! Whatever little truck knowledge I have comes from Europe... Lol
Cat 3408's were 18L and 3412's 27L. My buddy worked at freightliner for a while and said everybody would stop and go take a look at one of the very few 3412 equipt trucks when it left the plant. I gathered it was a source of pride.
