Here's an old Mac-T. I found it in the middle of a unit near Detroit Lake in 1990 and have been using it ever since.

Big J. I use the same 4 point in my lid. I have been using the sweat bands for the front. They make a world of difference. I can send you a couple to try?

Always loved those old D7’s we have a F mid 70’s they are hard to beat for pushing and being reliable.

We had an E model that was a Dog- Transmission heating issues it’s whole life.

8 hrs of run time after dad bought it, CAT put a new engine in it.

10 hrs of run time after that, a new trans.

The D7G we had later on was like the Fs you mentioned: Dead Nuts Reliable: 3306 powered.

The old 7E was purchased by an international equipment dealer for a buyer in Columbia in about 2000. We were never any happier than the day that thing went down the road.

If it didn’t fall off the ship in the ocean, there were some mad Columbians.

A picture from the summer of 1985 near Mt. St. Helens with the introduction of the Stihl 038 Magnum and 056 Mag ll.

I met these guys Jack Pollman, John Pollman and Merle Core in July 1984 at a Madsen sponsored customer appreciation barbecue in Centralia, Washington.
Big Jack with his size 15 caulk boots felled timber in the area for over 40 years before passing away in the early 1990's.
It doesn't get any better then this picture....having lunch beside a felled 250 foot yellow fir.
