I made a mistake @Skeans1 the head is made by Viking
The machines at the demo we’re made by Gremo

Oh ok that’s an interesting design idea, I’m guessing two cylinders for the knives instead of the standard 3 or 4. The way the rollers come in remind me of a Southstar head.

Strap are to keep it from splitting? It's hard to believe they would have any effect on those beasts. I have strapped a hollow tree before, but not being a "real logger" I just thought I was being ingenious. Lol

Strap are to keep it from splitting? It's hard to believe they would have any effect on those beasts. I have strapped a hollow tree before, but not being a "real logger" I just thought I was being ingenious. Lol

The j/u hooks are easier to just hook to one another(vs the flat hooks) then your not worrying about them coming apart.
Another nice option, I like on trailers with no place for securement, is the hookless straps.

Yeah straps are the real thing but the tree, Faller, sawdust as well the undercut are all 'shopped'
