I tell ya folks, its a dangerous place this country!
Every time I cut wood, its not mice jumping out the log, its spiders the size of my hand in numbers, large venomous centipedes, scorpions, most of the top 10 venomous snakes in the world, 1.5" long bull ants that chase you down once you upset them, angry little wasps... hell even the flies bite.

But worst of all is the native drop bear.
Feared by all who walk the Aussie bush and the last thing many unwary tourists ever see.
Below are some government released fliers to promote drop bear awareness.

If you come to Australia, Vegimite rubbed behind your ears is a good preventative and remember to LOOK UP AND LIVE!

These little scorpions pack a mighty punch if they get you
Was loading wood into the trailer and this one crawled out of a crack, so I went and got my gloves for the remainder of the job



I have pics of the centipedes on my computer.

This is the blue tongue lizard that lives in my wood pile at home.
Every time I uncover it I grab it for a pat.

One of my local CFA fire fighters had his arm bandaged the other week from a drop bear attack. Really got a hold of him good. I like the blue tongue lizards around my place but when you stumble across one your brain says SNAKE as your heart skips a beat. Wait until your saw meets a possom hiding in the middle of a tree......or the customers cat goes through the chipper it kinda makes everyone go quiet for a bit.

Pretty easy around here, worst is honey locust tree with giant thorns, wasps, bees, and poison ivy.

The snakes in Australia are some toxic critters, I've seen pics of the bites, and those are people that lived long enough to photograph!!!

Lol one of those Bigfoot hunting show came out to Salina Kansas a few years ago and I was laughing my ass off. The only hiding spots for it out there is a tractor combine or a semi lol.

Western Kansas is wide open prairie. Here in the eastern part there plenty of trees and water. But yeah western Kansas is WIDE open.
