If it can be arranged, I'd really love to have both a MOFO and a Riffraff sticker on the 046? Is that possible? This saw is going to mean the world to me when it's finished.

I hate to be a sentimental putz about a chainsaw, but there's a lot of spirit in this one.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas.

I've found the coils marked "IIDA" and/or "IIIDA" have run the best for me. I was suprised to see the markings after I cleaned all the crud off of it. The Ducati coil for the MS260 runs the best for the 026/260. The coil resin is blue on it.

As for the muff mod, I hope the PTO side wrapped deflector clears the brake handle. I actually have time to play with the saw today.

Should run later today.

BTW

The new piston is a Mahle. The piston on my builder case is as well.

I checked the compression height with my calipers, and the new piston is indeed .013 taller. Very odd. I've never had this issue using the piston on my builder case vs. a new OEM.

Very odd.

What is stock squish on these saws. Do you think they decided to tighten up factory squish? Are there different part numbers? Dallas?
