Hey y'all, thanks for the add! Happy to be here.

Currently in the process of restoring this beast, a Poulan Pro 330 I got from a junk pile for free. I got the saw and Husky bar. It needs a new chain and clutch cover, I deep cleaned it (it was loaded with gunk) and it has good compression. It's my first saw resto and I'm loving it. Pictures of course attached!

Nice score! Those are the last of the mag poulans. Be carefull pulling it apart. Alot of parts are getting difficult to find for those. Im definitely watching this build!

Thanks! Yeah, it is an incredible saw and my first ever rebuild. I will definitely becareful, finding the clutch cover was hard enough! I got new bar nuts as well. I can't wait to get it up and running and maybe get it ported as well.

Stopped and got the PP out of my storage unit today. Gonna do some more internal cleaning and fire her up. Even the original labels lasted! Says it can run up to a 22" bar. I also need a new air filter and can someone tell me why there's that gap between the filter and base? Is it supposed to be that way or no? Also snapped pics of the 18" Husky bar that's with it. Check it out [emoji481]

It looks like it has a torn mount. Look at how the crankcase is not inline with the rear handle from the top view.

Yeah I noticed that. Dang, how would I go about getting the mount fixed?

Replace it if it is indeed bad. The crankcase is attached to the mounts and the mounts are attached to the fuel tank. If you remove the clutch cover and the starter yoy should see some cap screws that will go through the case and into the mounts. You will need to remove the carb and intake boot i believe. My brother has my 3500 right now so i cant run out to the shop and get you some pics.

Oh a rubber seal goes on the air filter cover. Thats what your missing between the covers gap. IMO not needed.

Update:

The clutch cover I ordered was a flop. Got a refund but no cover.

Noticed my chain brake was missing as well.

There's a 335 clutch cover on fleaBay atm, would a 335 fit a 330? How would I add the chain brake then? Or do I buy a universal chain brake clutch cover? Thanks.

Are you dead set on having a chain brake? You have to find a cover with the brake made into it. Any of the 330/335 non brake covers will fit.
