Tecomec makes Oregon chain sharpeners. Parts are interchangeable. You would have to figure out model. I wouldn't be afraid of it.

Have that exact model here. Nicest feature is forward and reversing motor. Also able to tilt the chain 10 degrees. Not however self centering like newer models.(left/right cutters) can be upgraded with newer style vice if desired for around $115.00. A new complete unit will run $350.00 or more, and I don't believe they have forward and reverse like the unit you are looking at. So if can be had for a good price and then upgraded will be a top notch unit for you.

I've got one also, that I picked up on Craigslist. I like it, but it's the only grinder I've used, so my opinion might not help much lol. Sure beats hand filing for saving some of the chains that come with picking up used saws!

I had no idea it had reversing motor. You should buy it and ship it in my direction for a trial run.
I have a tec/Oregon 511AX just for rakers. Not as strong of a motor as my Stihl USG, but I bought it with a cpl thousand miles on it.

Learn to use it properly and you will be surprised how many neighbors, family and buddies need chains sharpened. You could start low and hope you don't hurt his feelings. 50.00? You might need a grinding wheel or 2. I have a new 3/16 Oregon wheel ive been trying to part with.

Ill make you a deal. If you get it for 50.00, try it for a while and you don't like it. Ill give you 75.00 for it. Now you have no reason not to go buy it.
