I'd try and free it first.

Step 1. Find a block of wood.
Step 2. Raise bar up a bit like ax & skim tip over wood.
Step 3. Problem fixed, now go pump some greasy stuff in hole.

I like to take sticky tips to the wire wheel on a bench grinder. Make sure to use plenty of lube and use eye protection.

    Thanks all!
Let's just sit it in some hot simple green...
Thinking like a machinist or saw hack, the heat expansion/contraction never fails.

Whack it with some wood you just need to unsieze it. It takes 2 seconds. Done it many times. Soaking in simple green is a waste of time...and simple green...and water. I don't get threads like this where someone asks for advice, they get it...and then they go do something no one suggested.

I had a ES come in locked up. Soaked in penetrating oil and diesel. Kept smacking till it broke loose. Still out there today cutting on a 440 firewood cutter.

Those ES are heavy, but darn near indestructible.
