Im glad he’s happy with the saw, but I miss it a little bit.
Oh,well. Helped fund the two Dolmars.
How many saws did you go home with Mark?
Stop taking good saws out of here and bringing them to Tennessee.
Not cool bro.

One more note on the 7900, clutch is extended out from the saw a wee bit and as such, rim sprocket made contact with the plastic chip deflector built into the clutch cover. Not a big deal, but did require a bit of attention.

I just cut that whole “leg” off the chip deflector. It then allows a 9 pin to fit. It does not affect the chip deflector from staying put.

His neighbor just logged a bit over 100 acres right behind him and gave him access to whatever he wants from the leftovers.... it's going to see some action.

Just the three came home with me...
I was eyeballing a couple others but really didn't have any more space to put one!

Dont forget the
More ignition timing
There’s a lot more to come on this one.
Timing and unlimited coil will come next.
Compression bump And porting after that.

I’m going to build it as a muffler saw but the timing will be somewhat suitable for a pipe, so a pipe will be built for it as well.
All in good time.

Less raker
Less muffler
Pig rich
That’s the tune I like for cutting wood.

Seems like it’s heating up enough after cuts. The saw keeps getting leaner.

Personally, that’s a sign to not increase compression too much. Especially when the gtg weather and elevation will change tunes.

Slightly taken apart again.

I ran close to a tank through it this past weekend bucking some ash. Had good manners running but required cold start procedure if shut down for short periods of time.

Terrifically overpowered for 14” and under hardwood.:D

Rebuilding the carb because I don’t know the last time it’s been done.

Wear visible on the metering lever.
