Hard to tell by the crappy pic, but I have them lined up perfectly.
By the time you get down near the end, the bow is bad enough to put a screwdriver tip in between them.
I tried using it and the bow isn't noticeable in use.

I got ya now. What brand was it? I really like the Wiha stuff. We use them at work (a print shop) and they hold up good.

Keep an eye out for an HL Supply sale and snag the whole Wiha set they have put together. Now the scrench they sale with the t27 on the end stripped put on my almost right away. Didn't hurt the screw head luckily.

Fyi the Wiha 8mm won't fit all carb nuts as the side walls are to thick to fit, you need the Stihl branded 1. BTW I have heard Wiha makes the tools branded Stihl as well, but to there specs, also the t27 in wiha brand is longer then the Stihl branded 1.

Just buy some cheap 1/4" but driver 'bits' and turn them down or grind them down to make them thinner. Saws like the MS261, blowers and others have fork all room for normal but drivers. Just pointing out a cheap option if you don't have all the factory tools.

I have the Stihl branded tool and the Klein tool. They are both perfect.

Those double end socket T27 wrenches always twist off for me. I have one good Stihl in the mix. Those cheap little orange handle T-27's work good. They have hard tips. I said tips!

Say, I have a question as long as we are on the subject. What's the easiest way to repair a worn out Torx end? I've tried a triangle file to little avail. Anybody have any luck rebuilding a worn end for a good fit?

My end solution a few years back for a scrench was to grind it off and make a flat blade screwdriver out of it. At least then it had some service life.

There isn't much you can do with a torx driver except grind it to a point and use it for a scribe or something . A T27 would screw a bunch of bolts before you ever wore it out doing saw work unless it were a cheap Chinese made .

Well, I do have a couple of T27 wrenches that are worn out from lots of top end rebuilds. Cylinder bolts as you know are tightened down like iron. The screnches with T27 ends don't even fit into the cylinder holes, but I have gone through two of those, one of which I saved by milling it into a flat blade. The fat shank made that possible.

Seems to me that a beat up T27 driver end could be restored with the right file, but I have never been able to do that. Maybe that's why so many T27 wrenches have been sold.

I think the long T27 's I have are 6 or 8" long with 1/4" hex drive on the end .I have a little T handle set for the correct torque .It's a tiny little torque wrench they use to tighten carbide inserts in CNC type machining .
It's a spring brake away type thing that I used a 1/4 drive dial torque wrench to set .Not boasting but I probably have specialty tools very few have ever seen .If I get some time in the next few days I'll take some pictures

It would be cool if they would upgrade to the torx plus heads. Now this thing can take some torque.

I like a straight up Allen head. Torx are great too. They hold pretty good. My wrenches are a mixed up set. Haven’t really had any trouble with any of them.
