Starting a build thread for the 460 I got

I haven't built many saws, probably my 4th or 5th from split cases, replacing bearings etc.

I am not a professional, I don't do this for a living.

I just really enjoy tinkering on them!

This is what it looked like after I cleaned it all up

Meteor is slowly sneaking up to oem prices for some models and brands. It's always good to compare before making a purchase. The oem 460 piston is only about 20 bucks more.
I did some research, I’m in Canada and we seem to have higher prices even with the exchange. I got the Meteor Kit with caber rings for $40 online, I was happy with that.

We get wrecked on all parts. I imagine it has something to do with taxes/tarrifs. Husqvarna parts are the worst, seems like we pay at least double for everything

Hi Mike,
You have the top half of the fuel tank vent somewhere, right? Didn't see it on the tank in the first image...

Just waiting to get a few more smalls to come in at the local dealer, and I have to head down and grab the piston from the US of A!

Will be slightly on hold until the other parts come in

I can shoot you a tank vent also if you still want that 034/036 tank.

I got a tank on the way, but I will keep you posted on the next one.
Went through the 034 cases and I think one of them is shot. Once I get this one done, I’ll clean them up and snap some pictures and see what you guys think.

Don't forget that little clip that goes on 460 cranks.

Pull the limiters on that carb and you should be fine.

I like OEM pistons, but they cost me about twice what a meteor costs, and I get a great deal on them. OEM prices really shot up over the last year.
