Stihl MS310 issue

came across this saw at a estate sale runs will idle all day, you can pull the trigger rev's up not a sputter but if you hold the trigger down more than 2 seconds it will die but you can start it right back up any ideals? thanks for your help

Check for blocked up exhaust spark arrestor screen. If the mesh is caked in carbon, grab a propane torch and burn it off holding it with some long nose pliers.

Also the mesh fuel screen in the carb, they often gunk up & give similar symptoms.
