Mine will negotiate a quote price only on large volume, single units go strictly for list price - and I left a couple k$ on their counter.

I do get off list price quote pricing from my Dolmar dealer of choice, a couple members enjoyed the benefits of that fact.

I get what he gets it for but I have spent a lot there also send anyone that I come across to him for new equipment it’s a family business open since 1954

there is the cost difference I expect

Specs are just that... written information on paper that is not necessarily a indication of a good saw. Marketing hype sure sells saws to the less experienced. YMMV
