I have a Stihl 56rc weed eater that when I go to throttle it the entire thing shakes. I know that the carb needs adjustment but I've never seen one buck quite like this. I thought that it might be the clutch worn out or something but that wasn't it. Could it be the carb is so out of adjustment that it actually is causing all this noise and jumping?

I don`t think that it is because of the carb adjustment. Which cutting attachment do you use and in which condition is it? That could be a reason for the shaking.

Check the bearing/bushing at the lower shaft for being worn out.

Does it idle ok? Does it shake when you throttle it up and the clutch engages? Pull the power head off the shaft and check the drive flex cable and bearings. When you throttle up does it start 4 stroking? Flodded engine can cause it to shake pretty good.

My vote is something in the drive train is bent or damaged. Is it a curve shaft? The bushings and/or bearings that locate the drive cable can certainly do it.

Looked at an old Homie curved shaft for a guy one day, vibrated like crazy. Found the bushing was worn out at the cutter head, shame, ran good.
