Outerwears on a chainsaw are known to hold in more than they keep out. It's just not a good application for them. Where they shine is in the sand dunes.

Well brad..wrong again.

Those outerwears that fit the 261 air filter are awesome..in any condition.

Part number 20-1114

Typical forum talk...no experience.

6 1/2 tanks of gas cutting cherry trees....

I won't even use an HD2 filter on a 261 without one.

Sorry guys..I'm doing that real world thing again.

Ain't nothing wrong with disagreeing. We can all learn from seeing both sides of a disagreement. The key is to not ever let it get personal. We can disagree without being disagreeable.

My very few disagreements come from what I've done and not what I heard/read...it's never personal.

Big difference.

I can remember everyone told me the 362 C Ver I was heavier than a 562 because the internet said it was ...

Remember???

Meanwhile, I went to the store and picked each one up and didn't feel it. I remember!!!

My comments are based on the experience of several other real world users. If your experience is different, so be it. They don't work for everyone on every model.

I think outerwears are terrible on the 440/460/461 and the like..they trap a ton of fines.

But not on these 261s

I didn't even understand what the hell this post means.

Try again..and make more of an effort for it to make sense.

But I sorta gathered it was something about chainsaw weight...I don't care what a chainsaw weighs.

I wasn't sure where he was going either........but I think it was about a light weight stripper he met in the early 70s.

I think I was pretty clear, but selective memory can be a beautiful thing!

Anyway, back to filters, I don't have any problems cleaning the HD-2s, maybe I just make bigger chips!
