I have a 192 rear handle that is beating me. I bought it last year from an auction and it ran good. Did not use it this winter, went to run it the other day and it runs out of fuel after almost a minute of running. I replaced all the fuel lines, primer bulb, and tank filter. I rebuilt the carb and blew through all passages. I installed new intake boot. Still no dice. I am very frustrated with this saw. The dealer says the carb is bad, but he list the carb for $119. I already have over $50 worth of fuel lines, carb kit and intake boot. If I buy the carb I am at the same price as a new ms170! An thoughts on what is going on?

Have a look for the tank vent. This is my suggestion. On Arboristsite your thread has severall answers and everything importand is already said there. You can also check if it is running with the fuel cap open. If yes it is likley the tank vent.
