I’m looking to sell this 066 Flat Top Red Light.
I bought this saw as a runner from a member on the other site. I was told that the seller received the saw with a bad top end. He said that the saw was run too lean as a carb issue. He replaced or cleaned up the OEM cylinder and put a new meteor piston. He ran 2 tanks of gas and then sold it to me.
I received the saw and gave it a quick look over. Started it and noticed that it didn’t idle very well. Pulled the muffler and saw that the new piston was starting to score. Contacted the seller and he offered to take it back or send me a good used OEM cylinder and refund $75. I chose that route.
Today I began to tear it down and did a pressure/vac test and as expected there was a crank seal problem. The clutch side is leaking.
When testing, I found the clutch side case to be a little rough. Not sure what is/was going on in there.
Long story short, I’m not looking to take on another project at the moment. I bought this saw as a runner expecting to use it.
The saw is complete. I will include both OEM cylinders that I got with the saw. I’m not a pro so I’m not sure how useful they are. The one that was on the saw looks decent but has a slight scratch that you can barely feel. The second cylinder the seller sent has pitting towards the base. Not sure if it’s usable or not.
It has a dual key flywheel and a WJ35A carb. The red light does not work because the wires have been cut.
I am including many pics so that you know what you are getting. I have not reassembled the clutch side since it needs crank seals. I have not put a cylinder back on. You will get the complete saw. No parts are missing as far as I know.
I’m looking to get $375 plus shipping from Pittsburgh, PA
