I haven't kept a 64 or 288. Had at least 15 total combined.

I got a 281 with a MMWS 288 jug on it. The thing is great. Pulls a 32” like a freight train.

I own 2 or 3 of each model, each has its own appeal, as far as cutting wood, I say they are about equal honestly, 064 is lighter, 288 has better filtration and oiler. Why choose when you can own booth?

whats the real weight difference between a 288 and a 064? I have heard the 064 is one of the lightest saws for its cc

064s will sling oil with the best of them. Their oiler doubles a 066/660.

Both are damn good saws, but I prefer the balance of a 64

Thanks Tom, at the end of the day, they are just saws, I enjoy building them and looking at them and running them, I think it's a pretty even match up, just a preference of a certain feel or brand loyalty imo. I am happy to share my saws with anyone who wants to run them, and if Tony wants me to send him 1 to try out I am happy to do that, I have 2 out being ported right now, 1 is with Mastermind and 1 with Huskstihl, happy to send either as soon as they are done. Tony is a great guy.
