Stihl 046/460 D Jug. Are there benefits using it on a 460, or better using it on a Hybrid?

I am just curious about 046/460 D jugs. What benefits do they bring to a saw build? Are they better than a regular 046/460 jug? Do they increase a saws performance?
Or would a D jug be better off used in a 044 Hybrid build?
Just curious, as I really don't know much about them. I don't really know what benefits they would give to a saw. Other than increase compression.
Open to hear everyone's input. Specifically the engine builders opinions.

The D-shaped combustion chamber saw is a better runner stock, especially when you have the good early carburetor and the 1309 ignition. Those components were all designed in concert on the early 046s to make a strong running stock saw.

If you're sending it to a builder, then it doesn't matter at all and the round combustion chamber jug is the better choice.

Cool. So the Motul 800 cleaned up the piston? The photo on the bottom?

Ahh. OK. Gotcha. [emoji106]
Was that piston in a round jug? Or D jug?

I can't tell any difference in them but the best running one I've done is a 2009 round chamber stihl cylinder.
