I think I know the answer to this but I'm gonna ask to double check. I put a carb kit in a Stihl 034 super with zama carb. It won't idle no matter what, the metering arm is about .020 above the carb base. Is it supposed to be flush? I don't have a zama metering gauge only walbro

Don’t forget to replace the check valve/ main jet
Could be letting air into the idle circuit.

1 and 1 the high seems good but no matter what I do with the low she's fat, like fuel soaking the filter and muffler fat.

Just a shot in the dark, try running it without the filter cover on. My choke linkage binds sometimes on the cover.

Well I went through the carb again and I got it to tune but it won't idle for s word. I'm wondering if it's sucking air somewhere? It doesn't want to return to idle and once it does it dies then won't start unless I put it on fast idle. Little bit stumped but I'll have to dig a little bit deeper once I have some more time
