Stihl 032AV No chain brake?

I picked up a Stihl 032AV. 20" Complete or so i thought. It has no chain brake assembly nor a slotted sprocket cover to allow for the linkage. The sprocket cover fits as it should. Has this saw been modded or did Stihl make an 032AV pre 1980's that didn't have a chain brake? Does anyone have an idea where i can get a digital copy of the 032AV's service manual?

Google search "stihl 032av" first link that pops up is a 89 page digital pdf service manual from Stihl....Id post the the link but when i click on it just downloads automatically. Quite a few saws built before 1980 had either no brake or optional chain brakes. Good luck Ronn, welcome to the forum.

Yes there was a model without a chain brake I own two without a chain brake and one that has. I can dine out what year they started putting a chain brake on
