Lead solder .030 works well. You can double and twist if you need it thicker.

I check it through the plug hole over the wrist pin on both sides. You can check front and rear also if you want. Roll the engine over a few times to get an accurate reading then measure with calipers.

Cool happen to have some, I have a Husqvarna 44 and I am thinking about doing a gasket delete
