I don't know if I'm going up with the guys this year. I've been almost every year since 2000, and it's time again to take a year off, I believe. There are a couple gtg's around that time I'd like to go to also.

Personally use grinders are the best ones to own.
If your running the same chain, it's always set up where it needs to be.

Kind of embarrassed that I didn't know it off the top of my head. Been by there many times.

Vallorbe files are the best. Get some bahco to learn with and then find vallorbe. However they sharpen or their blanks are just better seems like.

Mike I found a somewhat local welding supply company that has Valorbe in their catalogue. Do you recommend the 6" or 8" files?

The just call them flat chainsaw files. The model number they use is their own.

I'm so confused (not hard). Are not the Bahco ones you linked earlier with flat sides? Which of the Save Edge ones that Nate has would you recommend? In the videos that Bradley posted in the beginning of the thread it looked like those had flat sides.

I'm not really sure Jeff my vision isn't that great. Lol. I know John likes the double bevel files so that's what I bought when I first started and still use. I also use a 7/32 round file for cleaning gullets. Here a pic of what the 7" save edge file looks like that I use.
