I run MS362R dual spikes/roller catcher kits on my modded MS261's they are a good size for that power range. I'd just use them. I've tried 660 spike & 4 point ProSafety spikes and while they look great, the saw stands up when placed on ground, and they become really grabby putting a bunch of stress on your chain, sprockets etc. The 'R' spike kit is also the good solid metal like the old ones not the thin pressed nasty ones.

Do you happen to have part numbers?[/QUOTE]

Part no. for the MS 362 R roller chain catcher, spikes and mounting screws is 1135 650 7750.

Thanks above DND, yeah you want to buy the whole kit that gives you the spikes, fasteners & roller catcher. Also you want some small washers to fine tune things so the roller catcher pin goes through the inner spike properly. FWIW I bought a 10 pack of roller catchers (not with spikes) from Farmertech for like $5-10 and there pretty decent. They are not ceramic there hard plastic but work well and do the job.1516616577479.jpg

Stihl OEM on my 460, these are about perfect all around spikes. The saw came with 5 point Pro safety spikes and they were a PITA, way to grabby for me.

I like them new 362 spikes, very 'euro' looking though no holes for roller/catcher. A few cutouts here and there are good for weight savings. They need to be part properly hardened. I include sharpening spikes with a raker file part of saw maintenance, a few swipes brings them back to sharp.

That's the only pics I have on this phone......

I make them out of a variety of different steels, but the best is the leaf spring steel.....that stuff is good.....
