I can find a brand new 681 at 1.000euros. But with another 75€ shipping to States that must be the price.

Identical saws are more expensive in Croatia than in Greece!

No point in getting OPE equipment out of Croatia, that is why I said I am not selling those Solo's.

Those prices I posted are without shipping!!!

That's pretty tall pricing for the Solo. How does that compare to the Dolmar/Makita pricing in Croatia and Greece? I assume they are heavily taxed. Is there another reason they are so expensive?

My wallet is a little upset with me and my compulsiveness. Lets see what it looks like first......But yes I have already searched for 7910 cylinders Lol. on a side note I'll finish up a 7300 project in the morning that has been a pain in my arse. I took it in on trade and didn't give it a solid once over and it has taught me a valuable lesson. It's got more new parts than I can shake a stick at. Replaced crankshaft, all new AV mounts, ignition coil (from a generous member here) New plug wire, spark plug boot, kill switch wires, kill switch, bearings and seals, case gasket, intake manifold, fuel line, brake band. I'm sure i'm forgetting something.......JMS must have some kin folk in Spartanburg. I'll never make a dollar off it but I'll be glad to see it go... as a respectable saw that deserved a second chance. Hard lessons are the best ones learned.

That being the case, for me, she’d be a keeper

That thought has crossed my mind. She's not much of a looker but I was pretty impressed with how it ran. BTW Oiler worm gear "wings" are shot after the first couple of test cuts. Should have replaced it too....... It's back on the shelf for now.

To tell the truth these brands go ABSOLUTELY nowhere with any kind of professional. No sales no fan club.
Really don’t know if it’s because of taxation or they think that putting a high price they enter the big league of the two major brands so the potential crowd of buyers can give them a look.

In Croatia VAT is 25%.
Comparing Dolmar/Makita prices between Croatia and Germany the profit margin seems to ad anywhere between 15-40% to item prices on the Croatian market.

That been said, I am getting all Dolmar related stuff from Germany.

The seller shipped the saw same day. Actually just hours after the auction ended. It was shipped parcel select USPS. I've been checking tracking daily and the only info provided is that it has been on schedule to be delivered today, Wednesday the 20th. Check this morning and it's "in transit, arriving late". Very frustrating, the package hasn't been scanned for tracking purposes since the 15th in Syracuse NY. Amazing the level of service the post office gives for about $5-8 more for priority mail. Hopefully it will still get here today

I feel your pain Rich.
Have had trouble with them lately.
One saw I shipped disappeared for a week but did arrive eventually.
I mailed a muffler spacer to Dan @paragonbuilder on March 7th. MIA since the 11th, and that’s the second one he’s had the Post office swallow up.
Good luck.

Bought a 2100 parts lot a couple of weeks ago. Made it from B.C. Canada to South Carolina in 5 days. LOL! It's hell waiting for Christmas to come.....

Last week I had to have a letter sent overnight from Buffalo to Rochester.
Guy at post office said I could put a stamp on it and it should be there no problem.
I declined and paid $25.50 for guaranteed overnight with delivery before noon.
I have little faith in them.

Mailman showed up yesterday with a package. Yay!!!! Had a chance to go over it yesterday afternoon. Cylinder looked great thru the plug hole. 3 pullS and it was at 185 PSI. Saw is in pretty good condition. Replaced an AV spring, kill switch, wires and installed a carb kit. Runs great. I’m pretty happy. 40EB9247-6C50-4F12-8BFC-6305EADA68AA.jpeg36EAB4B4-1112-48D7-9023-D1F71B2E1618.jpeg0010F3E0-0415-471C-A8D2-21A96E0372D2.jpegAEFB7CE3-0E3D-49B5-A41F-541B992F7933.jpegD26C4DF2-2666-49BC-A45F-8225BEC54CCD.jpeg

I did this very thing once with a check to Minnesota. It some how made a detour to Las Vegas then 3 days later it showed up. The bastiges wouldn't refund me either.
