I re-fried some poorly made pork rinds today ("Čvarak" , https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Čvarci ).
They weren't fried long enough, nor were they properly pressed - they were pale, tasteless and greasy.
The pork rind "fixing" turned out good, they are tasty and crispy now.

I also ran my 2016 Dolmar PS-9010 for the first time, first PS-9010 I ever ran and first fuelling of the saw.

Took a couple pulls to get her sound off, not as much as I thought it would take though.

T'was fun! :)

I got the hell out of the house today. A bunch of us gathered for our annual ice fishing party. We have a good 20" of ice, not a single fish was caught but boy did we drink the hell out of some beer. Not to mention a few of the favorite bottles that got passed around. I left my Polaris RZR home and took my sons Cam-Am four wheeler out boy was that fun. I haven't been on a four wheeler in years, 1000 cc's if obnoxiously loud fun.

Amazing what you can do with some equipment, & a couple fellow rednecks buddies.

Ended up getting two loads yesterday (about 5 cord). I think we do pretty good for amateurs. We were in the woods about 5 hours yesterday. The bonus is, we all enjoy doing it. Not buying propane, or paying for electric heat, is only part of the reward.

How do you like the Lorenz? I have an IH 80 and it works fine. Found a Lorenz 734 and wonder if it would be much better. I only have a 70hp gas hydro tractor.
I like it. Those paddles do a nice job of breaking up the wind blown, hard drifts we get here.

I mainly (only) blow piles after plowing. Sometimes days later to make room for the next snow. I'm amazed how good the old ih blower does but could use more distance sometimes.

picked up the 620PW 24" today :D

this saw is so simple to take apart & get to whatever you want. I trimmed the limiter caps, modded the deflector & ditched the screen, & gave it a smidge more fuel on each needle. the exhaust port & muffler exit are HUGE.

fueled/oiled up, in 4 pulls it fired. I let it idle for a little bit, no piss revs but just a couple mid rpm blips of the throttle & it sounds amazing. I cannot wait to cut with it.

I played handyman today for a friend who needs to sell her house due to a divorce. It's a very large home that has been getting run down for a number of years. So I worked on cabinet doors, caulked a shower, worked on three light fixtures, replaced a burned receptacle, changed a toilet flapper, replaced damaged ceiling tile, lubricated multiple squeaky door hinges, sorted through multiple boxes of misc stuff in the garage, removed a tv shelf in the living room, assessed but didn't fix a roof leak, etc etc.
Then I came home and built a window screen for one of our rental properties that is missing one.
