Sold another saw today, will help to pay for my new acquisition.

Brought two saws over for the guy to try out (for cutting firewood for a homeowner). I dropped a mid size Pin Oak and let him try the saws out in it. I started with one of my Asian 440 Big Bores, and I did not think he was going to put it down, he had a big smile on his face as it just ate through the rounds, but then I let him run a 460 I rehabilitated and he liked the 460 even better, so that is what he ended up with.

I think he choose the 460 because it had a little more torque. Both saws put smiles on his face! I'm sure if I just brought either one over he would have purchased it!

Was sanding high spots down on a particle board underlayment prior to installing laminate flooring over it. Then the belt sander went kaput. So I came home and worked on my firewood piles. I pulled and repositioned T-posts at the intervals I wanted and stacked up some stuff I already had split. Now I'm resting in my recliner discussing supper options. Looks like it might be a hotdog and potato chip night. Neither of us feels like cooking anything...

We have been selling a little firewood from the same storm here on the southside.
Cutting up some of the last oak trunk behind the house today.

Gave the thumbs down on a genarator motor, low compression, bad rings, run for years with no air filter.

Cleaned up some branches from our most recent storm. One was up by my 5000gal water tank. When I got up there I found it overflowing. Cut the well pump breaker. Will diagnose tomorrow. Either my float switch is waterlogged or the branch did some damage to the junction box on top of the tank. Its always something.

Spent a couple of hours making some decorative orchid stands for an anniversary gift next week. Used some small canyon live oak cookies I had cut maybe 15 years ago. Sanded and stained today. Very pretty grain. Hope the missus likes them.

That whole Coffee Bluff area was woods. Huge oaks, we rode dirt bikes all thru there in the 70s.

I am off Shipyard road.

Helped 2 brother inlaws cut up a decent size oak that storm took half down. homeowner had already cut top up left the bigger 20 inch plus stuff . so no big mess to deal with . I don't get to cut much these days. so this was fun for me to run my Miller mod 6410 and 351 he did for me .. I blocked half the tree with a 24 then had to swap out to a 28 archer bar n chain I have been wanting to try . let 1 of inlaws run my 372bb so they could pick up the chunks. loaded a trailer load while the ground was still froze then hand split most of trailer

Started the morning testing some handloads for my 45 colt, then I tackled the brakes on my work truck. The morning went pretty good so I decided to change the pump on the hot tub for the Mrs. 3 HOURS later and Ive got it up,. running and not leaking. I HATE HOT TUBS but unfortunately my better half loves the dang thing so I try to keep her happy lol.

Finished topping out a dead oak I've been working on then chunked it down. 10-15 mph winds today/48 degrees. About 80' where I cut the whole top out. I just tied a rope up there as high as I could w/ the pole then sent the rope to the ground to be tied to another tree and ground guys sit on/pull it. Tied it to the other tree tight so no chance of the top coming back on me if ground guys slipped. This is the first tree I've climbed, wishing it was alive the whole time. Neighbor came over and ground the stump, now I don't have to bring the grinder home tomorrow after work. Used a kubota to get the logs over to my log pile, split some for fun. 2511t then the 246 to chunk once wood got to about 12"s, finished the todem pole w/ the pro mac 850. Pictures coming soon once they get sent to me. The husky 246 is awesome for chunking, nice and light and really rips. Sorry for the long post

Did a little wood splitting in the back lot. Even though the plow is on the ATV, it got 2 saws, a Peavey, the X 27, and the Hydro Splitter … and off we went.

Just spent a couple of hours - split a good amount of Oak and Hickory and a bit of Beech.

Noodled some of the larger Oak and Hickory with BB #5 - it continues to impress me. It is not bad at all for an Asian Saw!

I did this by hand over the past few weeks, all with the X 27, as part of my rehab therapy.

I'm pretty much doing whatever I used to do now, but sometimes the cold weather causes a slight discomfort just to let me know that I'm not 100% yet!
