Probably my best work so far. Gonna be fun to run.

It won't be bothered by an 044 ;)

After doing some trim painting on a rental property, I spent time in the shop servicing chainsaws. Partly getting ready for a tree job on Friday but also keeping in mind Irma may come up this way.

I hear you, working on getting saws prepped and loaded up and the tractor winch put on. If we get the rain here on the south facing slopes any wind will bring them down in droves. The wind is the big unknown for me.

Went through the fuel system on a Poulan 2050 today. It need everything fuel related. The lines were in bits, the carb parts were crunchy, the purge bulb was half gone and the fuel filter had been lying in goo. Got it running nice and then had to do some serious sharpening of the chain. This saw belonged to my bro in law and probably hasn't been run 2 hours in the last 20 years. I'll put that one up on CL when I have a chance to get some pics of it. I'll list it for $60 as that's all they'll bring around here. The impending storm may stimulate sales... I have another one just like it that also needs some carb work.

Had a good weekend camping by the st clair rivee. Was fishing before we left this am and had a nice pike on. Let my girl real it in. it was peelin line out like crazy.she got it ib and I couldnt reach it over the break wall so tried lifting it over and it gave a good shake mid way and cut my 20 pound braid. Figure it was about a five pounder. About 2 feet long.

Scrounged a bed full of ash the road crew cut and left in about 8' lengths. Was able to split most of the bigger stuff before I got hungry

Spent some time this afternoon taking down some dead trees for my sister. Then spent the rest of the day battening the hatches for the impending blow. Seems like it's not going to be nearly as bad as what they previously forecast but we'll only know after the fact. Added tie down ropes to my portable carports, emptied out the garage enough to get our newest vehicle inside, have the truck loaded with chainsaw/tree service gear, have plenty of fuel for the generator and saws should the need arise and so forth. It was a beautiful sunny morning and now it's a heavy overcast and windy. Not raining yet though. Not too concerned for this area as at most Irma will be a tropical storm and more likely a tropical depression.

We've lost our power but no damage that is apparent by looking out the window. I've fired up our little 750 watt 2 stroke generator so we can charge our electronics and run the TV to get an update from the news. Looks like it's fading fast and the wind gusts have already diminished here lately. Power could come back on tomorrow or it may be days. We're literally at the end of the line from our electricity provider so it has been 3 days on a few occasions. We do have a larger generator to run the fridge and freezers in addition to the well. We'll run that after about 6 hours of power outage to chill things again. At least it's cool here today so we're not suffering from lack of A/C. Overall doing well.

Played with a few saws my buddy just got. Brand new Husqvarna 435 which I was never able to get to run right and an Echo CS 310 which ran well but didn't compare to my Makita DCS 34 with a muffler mod. He really liked running my basically stock 6421. I ended up with a free load of wood I'm working on splitting now!!!
