Am I the only one who gets excited about the smaller chainsaws? I just picked up a Shindaiwa 300s and I can't wait to try it out. 28.5cc's of power baby!
What tiny saws top yall's list? Top handle or otherwise?

I use small top handle chainsaws A LOT. We harvest olives for oil production and a good top handle is a must for pruning and thinning.

I also use my top handles for arborist work and climbing. The T425 Husky is one of my everyday saws. I have two and they are really impressive.

My only top handle I use is a little Homie XL. Not big on power, but dead reliable after the rebuild.

I run this one with a 14" 3/8 LP setup. It pulls and oils it really well. Needed a muffler mod, but I use this thing like crazy. Very reliable.

The other is my backup and I keep a 10" 3/8 LP setup on it.

This is now a little saw pic thread!

@AlfA01 good to be reminded that large bars work well on these little saws.

This 10” carver while interesting is tiny. I will look into a longer bar.

Side note: for carving its pretty nice. I tried some armature family names on the side of an old oak and it was easy and clean.

@AlfA01 this is the one I rebuilt with your parts. The thing looks brand new.

I have a Husky 338T and a Stihl 201. Use to have a Husky 335XPT that I loved, 3/8 Lp 14". Them Huskys cut pretty well with MM and timing advances. My 201 has a 14" 3/8 LP too. I use them about equally. But my favorite is my 346 Rattlered. That thing puts a smile on my face every time I run it!! 16"3/8.

I'm not into top handles, but I dig quality built saws under 45cc.

I've run my father in laws Dolkita 4300 (Same as Dolmar 421) and like it alot.

My one and only Creamsicle so far is an 024 AV.

But my FAVORITE is my 242XP. Hail to the small saw king, YAHOO 242!!!. ;)

I bought a battery husky 120i for my son to to start on. I have only cut a few small trees so far with it but it works and it is light for him to learn. No need for 15K rpm out of the gate. Probably move him up to 115 dolmar after that as it always starts and seems to be forgiving. I was looking at 201C and echo 361p as options if I buy another as they are 10lb saws too.

Didn’t know we were including 50’s in this. Love my little 261 the pie eater and the non pied version. Also like my stump shot 51 it’s been getting quite regular use as of late.

I use small top handle chainsaws A LOT. We harvest olives for oil production and a good top handle is a must for pruning and thinning.

Same here, we work with an Echo cs2511 and Husqvarna t525, both 1/4 pitch and 1.1 chains configuration, really nice saws especially the Echo.

A Stihl ms 200t for toughest stuff, previously we had the great Zenoah g2500t -aka Husky t425- and an Active 39.39.
