Hello fellow ope members, I'm looking for a short wood skidder now.
I would be willing to drive a little bit.
Maybe the Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North/South Dakota. Let me know if you know of anything thanks.

Interesting rig. I've never heard of a short wood skidder. It looks like a small forwarding trailer. Can you drive something like that on the highway?

Prolly not at hight speeds 30mph is Max at most. They do make full out trailers now with loaders on them that you can pull down the road. These are made to be in the woods

I was hoping one of you guys had one laying around. Maybe @tree monkey has one?

Man, I wish I had one of those laying around. Looks pretty slick. That behind my Kubota with the farmi winch would be a pretty sweet setup!

Scott I picked up a c70 with dumping flatbed. I can load logs with my forklift but would like to get a short wood skidder, I just think long term it would be easier.

There was a local guy converting old 4WD trenchers I to mini skidders/log haulers. Some had winches and grapples, some had loader arms and bunks like a forwarder. I can't find any current ones for sale on CL.
