Cutter looks good.
May want to move the intersecting line down just a tick to be in the lower part of the working corner.
That'll engage the wood a little better.

And like Mike said, you don't need a full side plate square to cut well, just enough to sever the thickness of a chip.
Race chain = soft wood = thicker chips = more side plate.

Work chain don't need as much.

Yea I've been working on perfect corners, I'm getting better, I sure like cutting with it. Is there such a thing as too big of chips. I cut some maple Monday and the chips are huge, mini leaves.... lol. It was cutting great, self feeding reel well, bore cut excellent and smooth! I was happy, it was a full comp 115 driver chain
