I'm plenty happy with it, tows well and straight up hauls ass unloaded. Got a speeding ticket last year while going for our Christmas tree. Momma was not impressed. [emoji16]

I’d rather smell clean air. I like the old trucks just fine, though. My ‘06 Cummins had no smog crap on it and ran clean compared to the older Powerstrokes.

My 13 ram was recently deleted. The def system went haywire which caused the regen system to go into a safe Mode which shut down the regen system which in turn allowed the turbo to soot up to the point of no longer working [emoji849][emoji849]. Well after deleting and doing a gen 2 turbo swap it’s back in business and runs like it always should have, but you quickly remember why the smell of raw diesel is not pleasant. It’s not too bad most of the time but every once in a while you get a big whiff of it.

I agree with you. I was on the 3rd replacement of my DEF system when I had it deleted. If it still worked I would still have it. The difference in power and throttle response was instant but so was the smell. I wish the DEF system worked just for the clean exhaust.

The last time it failed I was on the interstate and it shut me down to 65mph and was going to move me to 55mph soon. I made it home before that happened. 2012 duramax

Those both are tier 3 trucks with DPF or Diesel Particulate Filters, Def on the Tier 4 stuff is Diesel Exhaust Fluid you pour in every so often with it the mileage, power, and at least on this 16 Duramax I have hasn’t been an issue.

That’s probably an Intermediate tier 4, Final tier 4 stuff hasn’t been available before 2015, now we have stage 5 as well.
